Q. I am contemplating having my wedding reception on the beach because I am getting married in a church, and the hotels on the beach charge way to much money for the receptions. Its in Orange Beach/Gulf Shores Al. Does anyone have any suggestions that could help me?

Have the reception in a barn around October with pumpkins, cowboy boots and bonfires.
Have the wedding and reception in the Virgin Islands around September with bare feet, colorful flowers and the reception in a tent at night on the beach.

WOW... you are trying to pick between two really hot themes this year. I work at a wedding accessories store and the western wedding theme is by far our hottest selling theme line this year and last. We have a HUGE selection of western themed ideas here http://www.bridesvillage.com/weswedac.html. We have sent these western themed items all over the world, so that theme isnt just hot here in the States!
But if your like alot of brides and dont want to be with the norm... I would say the Beach Theme Weddings are beautiful but they are less common now. They were hot a couple years ago and do seem to be making a comeback already this year though. Have you thought of Cinderella Theme thats pretty popular too.
