Can I use a pop up tent on Waikiki beach?

The size of tent is good for 2 adults, basically use only for sun shelter and not the zip up camping kind of tent.
For those who wonder why I ask such a question, it is because we used a pop up tent on Virginia beach only to be told that it is prohibited and have to take are tent down immediately.

Yeah, no tent allowed at Waikiki, cause block eva body view, and can't stay onna beach ova nite, ok? But you can bring umbrella, or can rent from Beach Boy rental or Star rental rite on Waikiki or Kuhio Beach, they rite close to each otha, so same beach really, ok? Also, lotta good shade from Palm trees, so maybe not even need umbrella, ok?

Hi I am trying to find some of the portable tents i can get for my 5 month old cause we are going away to the beach in a few weeks and trying to find one that i can use for that and if u know of any what stores have them thanks so much.

We used to go to the beach when our kids were babies. We'd take their porta-crib (pack-n-play) and use a large beach umbrella to keep them in the shade. I am grandma now and I bought a pack-n-play that came with a cover - very nice for the beach and camping, too. I've seen some beach tents at Target so I imagine most of those types of stores like K-Mart or Wal-Mart would probably have them, too. Also, try a sporting goods store. We have Dunham's in our area and they carry that type of thing, too. I have also seen them on eBay. You want to only get the kind of tent that is specifically designed for the beach as the type of tent that you would use for camping, such as a small dome tent is not made out of the right material and does not have the right ventilation for the beach. Having been a tenting family for years, camping tents are incredibly hot inside when the sun is shining on them. You don't want to use this type of tent at the beach - your baby will overheat in it.

i am doing a split one with my friend and i kind of want alot of people like 35-45 or something. also i don't know where to do it. i want to do something good and fun.we were thinking of like the beach or something like a house party but i just dont know what to do! please help me.

Beach party would be tight rent a big white tent have it open not closed juss enough to give shade, not cover the sun...and have a small dj, tables,chairs,paper plate's and cups small decorations around the tent since your at the beach it can be a luao theme hawaiian themed sumthing like that you can have tiki torches lit wen it gets dark .... you can bbq for the food and have chips ,dip for appetizers.. take big coolers to keep food(dip etc..) and drinks cold you can also have cake or cupcakes and cookies already baked for desert...you can play volleyball,limbo and have swimming races and dance off's with small beach like gift's as prize's...... make sure you have a camara and water proof camera to captur your big day..and over all juss have fun...well hope ive given you sum ideas....

What is the best rv resort/ campground in myrtle beach, SC?

I would really like to find a place that had shaded areas and trees. We stayed at Lakewood a few years ago, but there was no escape from the sun unless we stayed right in the camper.

Myrtle Beach State Park has the best shaded space in the Myrtle Beach area. It's even comfortable in a tent. Thing is, they don't have the same sort of amenities that Lakewood, Ocean Lakes, Pirateland, and Apache have.

The Myrtle Beach KOA is very nicely wooded but it's not oceanfront. As long as you have a car along it's really close to the ocean. I'd not want to make that walk in summertime - the traffic will run over you.

If I were RV camping here I'd pick MB State Park first and KOA second. Then it'd be a tie between Ocean Lakes and Apache.

What products are there to shade my infant on the beach?

Looking to find some type of umbrella tent or anything so that my 7m old doesnt get sun while our family is at the beach. Obviously im going to put spf on her.... Thank you :)

A normal type umbrella they shade 7 year olds the same way they do 37 year olds

When is it okay to take your newborn to the beach?

We have been taking our newborn since about 2 weeks old...

We have a couple SPF (I don't know what number) umbrellas.

We throw a blanket down on the ground, and a white sheet on top of that. While my big boys are playing, I hang out under the shade and enjoy the sea breeze with the babe--who is now 12 weeks old:)

We go about once a week.
