does anyone know of a good small shelter dog for small yards?

gonedogmad

we live in a appartment have a courtyard. we work 8hrs 5 days a week. we live near the beach. have a doggy door, we like short hair dogs. want a older dog. been looking around shelters in melbourne. anyone have any ideas. my partner thinks the yard is too big for a dog. but i still want one.

Answer
Check the rescues in your area. Older dogs make great pets, they're already trained! I have 4 Boston Terriers. They come in three sizes recognized by AKC. Under 12 lbs, 12-20 lbs, and 20-30 lbs. They are short haired, lovable, and devoted to their master.

Siberian cats in florida?

Kilopoo

Does anyone know of a shelter or pet shop that carries Siberian cats or kittens near Melbourne, Florida? Anything within 75 miles is acceptable. I've been searching without success, so your answers are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
As a Long time Siberian Cat breeder I can tell you with confidence that the chances of you finding a Siberian at a shelter OR a pet store are two........ slim and none.

I am located in Daytona Beach. You can visit my web site at www.siberiancats.com.

Answer
Like a friend? Visit http://www.petfinder.com to find some small animals that need rescuing.

If you mean for breeding, please don't do this. With 2-5 million animals being killed each year in shelters, more pet quality mutts are not necessary.

Timmy is a young Chihuahua who needs a home. He's $95 and in Royal Palm Beach: http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7987985

Casey is a 3 YO rat terrier, same place, same price. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7924623

Jetta is a young poodle in Melbourne. She was dumped at a shelter with a broken leg and an eye infection and was left to suffer for 3 days without treatment. She needs a good home http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=6647344

Here are some puppies that look like Labradoodles. They'll be 8 weeks on Mar 29. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=7986616

Here's a 4 pound Papillion who was born in Aug of 2006. His "parents" got him and then forced him to live in a crate 8+ hours a day. They finally realized how awful and neglectful that is and gave him to rescue in Boca Raton. He will probably make a great pet for someone lucky. http://search.petfinder.com/petnote/displaypet.cgi?petid=8012991

Questions about living in Australia?

hello, I am 19 year old male, 5'8 140 pounds, blonde hair blue eyes, fairly athletic and I might be going to Australia in a working swap program for anywhere from 6-12 months. I will be working there while I stay. The program will help me find a job and a place to live during my visit. I have a couple questions... 1. Where should I go? My options are Sydney, Perth, Brisbane and Melbourne. I really want to surf and I like to party! 2. I'm also worried about living expenses and finding a place to live. I have heard stories of Sydney being a very hard place to find apartments. 3. What do Australian women think of Canadian men? I would like to think I'm fairly attractive. And I do have a kind heart. I even volunteer at a psych hospital to interact with the patients and I plan on helping at the humane shelter soon. 4. Considering I seriously am dedicated to learning how to surf, I also want to do it in a safe place! I have a bit of a fear of the ocean. And any other info you can give me about living in Australia would be amazing! Thank you very much and I apologize if this is one big solid block of writing but I am doing it from my blackberry! Cheers :)
