Thailand, Phi Phi Islands, Maya Beach?

sam21

I really want to travel to these places but I don't know if I can afford it. Is it worth it, or are there other places just as beautiful in their own right that could be cheaper? I would be leaving from Toronto. Has anyone been to Maya beach or the Phi Phi islands? Can you camp on the beach sites?

Answer
I travelled to Thailand from Venice, Italy.

I visited all the country. Interesting for various reasons.

If you only go there for fun, Phuket offers more then the islands, that are more relaxing.

I slept a week in Pee Pee. Very nice cosy island. You can take excursions and snorkel all around it, wonderful beaches; can go to Maya beach too but stopping there is forbidden, I believe.

I slept in a bungalow and wasn't that expensive. Unfortunately I ignore whether there are areas reserved to tents or camping. Anyway, for sure the highest cost is the flight, life there is affordable.

Where is a good place to go Snorkel in the UK?

Will T

A description of the place would be good too. Thanks.

Answer
What a great question for a lifelong UK-based snorkeller like myself who loves to snorkel in his own country, an island surrounded by great beaches and seascapes. Too many Brits feel they have to hop on a plane and head off to some foreign resort with no culture or night life when they want to go snorkelling.

My favourite snorkelling spot is between Blyth and Whitley Bay on the North East coast of England. Not much flora and fauna to see, but a generally calm sea state and a glorious sandy beach. I wear a vintage-style drysuit to keep warm and I always return home feeling serene and refreshed.

The Guardian newspaper once published its top ten snorkelling sites in the UK. Kimmeridge Bay in Dorset seems to be a particular favourite, if the British Sub Aqua Club Snorkelling website is anything to go by:

1. North Landing, North Yorkshire
It's worth the slightly complicated hunt to locate this sandy, sheltered bay (down a steep road leading to a disused lifeboat station). Visibility varies, but scuba diving is not permitted so you should at least have the run of the water. You'll be able to take in some rocky outcrops with kelp and seaweed, providing a lush home for schools of fish.

2. Kimmeridge Bay, Dorset
Part of the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve, the area has been managed by the Dorset Wildlife Trust since 1974. In 2006 a snorkelling trail was created, opening up Kimmeridge Bay for all (but only in the summer months). You'll see different species of weed and kelp, and a variety of fish, especially wrasse and blennies.

3. Eyemouth Rocks, Berwickshire
This area was established as a marine reserve in 1984, reflecting the amazing variety of marine and seashore life. The water is unusually clear, and there's a particularly good snorkelling site just south of Eyemouth Harbour around a small island rock. Deep gullies provide hiding places for fish, lobsters and anemones.

4. The Caves, Long Loch, Scotland
Not-very-enigmatically-named Long Loch stretches for 16 miles, one of a number of sea lochs reaching deep into the Highlands. Its sheltered waters provide a home for conger eels, anemones, crabs, starfish and urchins - and, if you're lucky, a seal or two - and this is a calm place to snorkel or dive all year round.

5. Swanage, Old and New Pier, Dorset
Access from the steps at the side of the pier makes this great for kids. More adventurous snorkellers can jump off the lower level on the new pier into deeper water. Visibility can often get up to 10m in the summer months, and the planks on the piers create a low light area that encourages more unusual growth such as sponges and anemones.

6. Drawna Rocks, Porthkerris Cove, Cornwall
To the north of Porthkerris Cove, these rocks just break the surface of the water, making them superb for snorkelling and very easy to find. The rocks are covered in multi-hued seaweeds; there are wrasse in all colours plus mullet, crabs, sea urchins, starfish and more unusual fish such as John Dory and cuttlefish. Within the kelp you may spot jewel anemones.

7. Trearddur Bay, Anglesey
While the main beach is sandy and full of holiday-makers, there are a number of quiet, shallow bays in the area that offer great snorkelling; the easiest to find is opposite the dive shop on Ravenspoint Road. The seabed is a mix of gullies, walls, trenches and holes which attract tompot blennies, shrimps and crabs - plus larger species such as wrasse, dogfish and lobster in deeper water. Just beware of the currents.

8. Longstone, Farne Islands
Several areas here are sheltered enough in good weather to provide excellent snorkelling. But they are mostly only accessible by boat, and you may need to book in advance. Longstone has a shallow bay at the southern end of the island, and there are no landing fees as it isn't a bird sanctuary. The main draw is the seals, which are very common; go in late summer when the pups are used to people and getting more inquisitive.

9. Prussia Cove, Cornwall
Actually made up of three small coves (Piskies, Bessy's and King's) only be reached on foot. The car park gets full by midday in high season so get here early. There isn't much beach, especially at high tide, but there are plenty of gullies to explore. Fish like to dart around the rugged stony area, but it is most notable for the harmless jellyfish which sometimes occur in dense masses.

10. Stair Hole, Lulworth Cove, Dorset
Not a dive for the inexperienced. Stair Hole can only be reached by snorkelling round from Lulworth Cove in good weather, or via a challenging climb down a steep cliff. Years of erosion of the softer limestone and shale elements have left a small lagoon sheltered almost entirely by cliffs. On the outer wall of the hole, you should easily find lobster, crabs and dogfish.

Good cheapish hotel with cove type beach.?

Hannah

I'm looking for a hotel/apartments somewhere in spain/france that has a cove type beach on it or near that is at reasonable price. any suggestions?

Answer
Hi,

here are attractions to suite all tastes

within a short drive from Parques Casablanca. Whether you are looking for family fun at theme parks, aqua parks and beaches, a relaxing game of golf on a championship course or a water sports and sailing holiday. You do not have to go far to accommodate your every need.

There are many local restaurants and bars offering every gastronomic delight imaginable.

La Fustera

Just 600 m walk, is a small secluded picturesque cove type beach situated on the costal road between Moraira and Calpe with a beach bar café. If you choose to drive there is plenty of car parking available.

Moriara
A genuine paradise set amongst the greenery of the Costa Blanca, Moraira remains one of the most unspoilt resorts on the Costa Blanca. The narrow streets are lined with shops, bars and restaurants with an almost infinite range of gastronomic delights.

Moriara has eight kilometres of coastline and four beaches, three of which are Blue flagged and life guarded so that various activities including swimming, snorkelling, scuba-diving, jet skiing, windsurfing, can be enjoyed safely. The beach of El Portet is situated at the end of a sheltered shell-shaped bay, quiet with clear water and a gently sloping seabed, ideal and safe for swimming. The town beach, or L'Ampolla, is a large sandy beach with a play area and restaurants. Platgetes is quieter and partly sand/partly rock; and L'Andrago is a boulder beach, ideal for snorkelling. There are also many secluded bays and coves well worth exploring. The Moraira Club Náutico has become one of the main nautical attractions of the Valencian Community and was one of the first to achieve the Blue Flag distinction for the cleanest shorelines in Europe.

essentials for taking a crawling 10 month old to the beach?

V

Answer
Oh goodness I am actually taking my 5 month old to the beach. There is this really awesome sun block, it's called baby banz it is twice as water proof as regular sunblocks. I would take a sun hat, baby sunglasses, a beach umbrella or shelter if you don't know offbeat will be a shaded area for you, a blanket or towel to put on the ground for you baby, water proof diapers, floaties, swimming suit, and some toys. Good luck and have fun!!'

How do I keep baby out of the sun at the beach?

Sara S

Now that the baby summer stuff is going up for sale on ebay and local sales, I started thinking about the coming up summer (sigh). My baby is 4 months right now, and I've purchased a rash gaurd and baby sunscreen already, but I'm wondering if anyone out there knows of any great products that can help me keep the direct sun and bugs off of him when we go to thebeach this summer (we go alot, and I'm looking forward to getting outside with the baby) Or if you have any hints on bringing a baby to the beach, I'd appreciate them. I've seen little domed screen things that you can zip the baby in, they're kind of like a small play pen, but I think mine will be too big by the summer time.

I know I could get an umbrella, but that's not really doable in my area, they don't allow them on most beaches, and the shaded spots always fill up right away. I'm just thinking about all the new hazards (sand in eyes, sunburn, other kids, ahhhh can't wait)

I appreciate any advice from other parents, I will do a best answer as long as no one says "bring an umbrella" JK

Answer
Can you get a popup shelter? This may sound silly, but they have them for pets. It folds flat but then pops up into a cube. It might take some fiddling but you could cut the fabric on the sides so you can get to him but keep the top intact for shade. They're nylon so they're pretty sand and moisture proof.
Just found one for babies, here's the link to one on eBay so you can see it. http://cgi.ebay.com/Sun-Smarties-Infant-Beach-Cabana-Tent-GREAT-CONDITION_W0QQitemZ120378916326QQihZ002QQcategoryZ117033QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
What do they allow on your beaches? Could you use two chairs and drape a beach towel between them as long as his fingers didn't get pinched.
The only other thing I'd suggest is make sure he keeps a hat on to shade his eyes.
Hope your little guy has fun.

A shelter for use at the beach has a back, two sides, and a top made of canvas. Find the dimensions that maximize the volume and require 96 square feet of canvas.

Please show work. Thanks in advance.

Answer
The key to this problem is to realize that the two "sides" of the shelter will be square. This is kind of hard to explain, I worked it out on paper and found that the variables representing the dimensions of the "sides" of the shelter could be swapped around without changing any of the formulae.

From here it is a simple maximization problem.
I'll do most of it for you:

Volume = A x B x C where A, B & C are the height, depth and width of the shelter respectively.
Area = 2 x A x B + A x C + B x C = 96

If A = B as I described above:
Area = 2A^2 + 2AC = 96
Therefore, C = (48 - A^2)/A
Therefore, Volume = A x ( 48 - A^2)

Now, maximize volume with respect to A.

Is this for high school? Regards,
Daniel

beaches. It is to have a back, two square
sides, and a top. If 486 square feet of canvas
are available, find the length of the shelter for
which the space inside is maximized assuming
all the canvas is used.

Answer
call dimensions x,x, and z since square sides
486 = 2x^2 + 2xz ===> z=(243-x^2) / x ===>z=(243/x) - x
Maximize Volume by setting V'=0
V = x^2*z ===> plug in z
V = x^2(243/x - x)
V = 243x - x^3
V' = 3x^2 +243 = 0
x^2 = 81
x=9 (which is the square side)
z is the length z=(243/x) - x=243/9 - 9=27-9=18

What is the best beach near Perth?

Answer
Cottesloe is nice as they have lawn and trees and a really nice beach, but parking is a hassle.
Most of our beaches are great white sand, some are protected from waves. Other beaches to look at are:

Port Beach
Trigg Beach
City Beach
Rockingham have some nice beaches (slightly down south)
Scarborough Beach
Sorrento Beach has both sheltered bay for kids, waves for riders and nice beaches for walking on and you have Hillarys Boat Harbour for entertainment

Below is a website that does live webcam of several beaches

Can someone tell me about the Perth, Australia beaches?

Is the Indian Ocean warm or will I have to wear a wet suti when I surf because the water is so cold. What are the best beaches located in Perth

Answer
Perth Beaches Source: http://www.westernaustralia.com/en/Things_to_See_and_Do/Sun_Surf_and_Sea_Life/Pages/Perth_Beaches.aspx

Great beaches abound in Western Australia and Perth beaches are no exception. See the Indian Ocean gleaming under a deep blue sky and warm southern sun at many beach locations right across Perth.

With over 12,000 kilometres of pristine coastline, there's a great beach to suit everyone.

People of all ages flock to Cottesloe Beach - it's the perfect spot for a swim, surf or snorkel.

Here, towering Norfolk pines line a boulevard buzzing with cafes and pubs.

Enjoy an early-morning breakfast beside the Indian Ocean, or a refreshing sunset beer at the pub.

At Cottesloe, the clean, clear coastline and smooth terraced lawns are filled with Perth's most buff bods, while kids hang out in playground heaven.

The Basin at Rottnest Island is also ideal for swimmers and snorkellers of all ages. The sheltered, turquoise lagoon is flush with colourful schools of fish.

For teens and young adults, Scarborough Beach is a firm favourite.

This historic seaside town, home of the famous 1950s hangout, the Scarborough Snake Pit, offers impressive surf breaks.

At night, Scarborough's foreshore comes alive with pumping clubs and pubs.

Those who love a quiet spot of beach fishing or an afternoon of body-boarding may prefer the clean, quiet waters of City Beach or Floreat Beach.

Meanwhile, surfers seeking Perth's gnarliest waves should head to Trigg, where shifting sand banks over rocky ledges creates powerful surf.

Children and novice swimmers will love the tranquil waters of Mettams Pool, between Sorrento Beach and Trigg.

The calm, deep-blue water is perfect for snorkeling and paddling.

South of the city, families will adore the still, serene waters of Palm Beach Rockingham.

Dolphins can often be seen around the jetty, where sunset fishing is a popular pastime.

Beautiful beaches abound in Western Australia.
The Indian Ocean gleams like a sparkling sapphire under a warm southern sun.

One of the most famous is Broome's Cable Beach.

Hailed as one of most beautiful stretches of coastline on earth, Cable Beach is blessed with azure waters fringed by 22 kilometres of pristine white sands.

The spectacular fiery Broome sunsets will take your breath away.

At Monkey Mia in Denham, squeaky-clean beach sand surrounds still, aquamarine waters, where wild bottlenose dolphins regularly come ashore to say g'day and snare a feed of fish.

Ningaloo Reef is a 260 kilometre spectacle of colour and diversity.

It's home to emerald lagoons teeming with brilliant coral and vibrant tropical fish, and is one of the few places on earth you can swim alongside whale sharks.

South of the State, at Middleton Beach in Albany, rugged rocky outcrops shelter a calm, vibrant-blue bay.

At Surfer's Point in Margaret River, the surf is consistently spectacular.

Home to the Margaret River Pro and a firm favourite with the world's elite pro-surfers, it's teeming with powerful ground swells and first-class waves.

The turquoise waters of Lucky Bay in Esperance are famous for its sunbathing kangaroos, which often lounge on the snow-white shores.

Jenna Morasca (Winner-Amazon, 16th Place-All Stars)

Todd Herzog (Winner- China)
Brett Clouser (?- Survivor: Samoa)
Richard Hatch (Winner-Borneo)
Terry Deitz (3rd Place- Exile Island)
Johnny Fairplay (3rd-Pearl Islands, 20th-Micronesia)

The two tribes started off on different beaches not knowing who was on the other tribe.
At Poxio Coach, Rupert and Colby were butting heads over how to build the shelter.
Jerri to confessional: "I have been on the same tribe with Rupert and Colby the last two times I played and they both suck. So I'm going to side with Coach on this stuff."
Meanwhile at Rikilli Shambo took charge. Terry and Stephenie both listened to Shambo however the rest of the tribe didn't do much. Brett and Sierra flirted while Rich ran around the beach naked. Todd and Jenna talked about what changed in there lives after they won. Kelly and Jenn bonded. And Fairplay was being Fairplay goofing around and lying all over the place.
Shambo confessional:" These kids won't work at all, it's like I'm at Galu again"
Back at Poxio the tribe had voted to do Colby's design even though Jerri and Shii Ann didn't like it much.
Shii Ann confessional :"Last time, I helped get Captain America out. I know he wants revenge. So the Shii-Devil is going to try to get him out at soon as I can."
That night as the tribe was asleep. Sugar took Rupert's tye-dye shirt which he had drying on a rock and put it in the fire.
Sugar to confessional:" Last time I should have won, I let the good get to the end and that was stupid.I thought America would give me the 100,000 but they didn't. So this time I'm out for blood. Plus everyone is going to think Russell burned it, and he'll be screwed."
The next morning Rupert woke up and saw the remains of his tye-dye shirt in the fire.
Rupert roared like always. "Who put my shirt in the fire." Jamie: "Didn't you watch Samoa? Russell burned socks in the fire then."
Rupert yelled again. He ran off to catch some fish while Russell slept.
Rupert:" I can't believe he would do that."
Sugar to confessional:"My plan worked perfectly I will win this game."
At Rikilli Terry woke up everyone at sunrise.
Terry:"I think we need to start early. Especially you people that didn't work yesterday. That would be everyone but me, Shambo and Steph. Otherwise we will have no choice but to vote you off."
Kelly to confessional:"Is he stupid? Why would you tell 8 people that they need to work or you're going to vote them off. I just had to roll my eyes at him." Richard caught some fish, but everyone else remained in bed.
Richard to confessional:" This makes me laugh. I have the biggest target but that Terry guy is putting one on himself everytime he talks. I already have this won."
Later that day Jeff brought together the tribes for the Immunity challenge.
"today will be the first immunity challenge. each tribe will have 6 people race out and retrieve 6 bags of puzzle pieces. They will bring them back to shore and the other 5 people will put the puzzle together. The first tribe to complete the puzzle wins immunity."
Poxio was the first to retrieve all the bags, however Todd and Kelly led the Rikilli puzzle completers to victory.
Rikilli wins immunity.
At Poxio the girls went into the forest.
Jerri:"I know that you guys might hate me, but I think it would be smart for us to target one of the alpha males. There all about the same so one is expendable."
Courtney:" Who should we target?"
Sugar:"I think Rupert will continue to target Russell. I think we should ask Russell to join with us to get rid of one of the others."
Later that day Elisabeth went up to Russell and asked if he would like to vote with them. Russell said yes.
Russell to
So who should be voted off?
Sugar
Jerri
Courtney
Elisabeth
Shii Ann
Coach
Russell
Ian
Rupert
Colby
Jamie
Sorry it's so long, it's just that it's the first episode
Sorry it cut it off:
Russell to confessional:" It will be the dumb girl alliance 2.0 But I'm planning on voting for someone random. I don't even know who yet."
However in the woods the guys excluding Russell were talking about voting for one of the girls.
Colby:" Sugar and Courtney are weak. Elisabeth doesn't need the money. And you all know how I feel about Shii Ann and Jerri."
Rupert:"I'm voting for Russell."
Coach:" We need his strength."
Rupert:" I'm voting for Russell."
Jamie:"Well I'm voting for Sugar."
While they were talking Courtney was in the woods listening.
Courtney then went off to tell Sugar.
Basically at this point everyone is a target except for Elisabeth and Ian.
It's fiction, sorry I forgot to post that. It's a fanfic
Sorry James Blake, it's just I find Amanda really boring. Jenn is an under-the-radar player and is kinda the WTF choice like Amber and Parvati were on All-Stars and Fans. Vs. Faves and we know how that turned out.
Jamie is another favorite of mine, just because he was crazy and I thought he would be interesting to write about later.
I hope you enjoyed episode 1

Answer
Wow I had forgotten all about Yahoo! Answers until this came in my inbox.
Okaythe men all have such big egos that they can't decide on what's going on. the women all decide that they will let Russell choose who goes home. Russell realizes that Coach and Ian are extremely loyal and that Colby is targeted by Shii Ann and Jerri. So he tells the girls to vote for Colby. Russell then makes an alliance with Ian and Coach. Russell tells them to vote for Courtney. Colby and Jamie are voting for Sugar.
At Tribal Council the girls get there way and the original alpha male of Survivor is voted off.
Colby gets 5 votes, Jamie gets 3, and Sugar gets 2.
So Russell is the real mastermind while Sugar thinks she is.
Colby get out of here, lol.

Homeschool week activities.?

Yankeegirl

So how this question comes about its a long story. but my mom decided to pull me and my sisters out of our school when the headmaster did something really unacceptable.. (not going to go into detail but it was the best decision for all of my family) I'm a junior in high school and now I'm going to be home schooled through online. But my question is what are some fun things i can do during the rest of the day? since I'm so used to having to always be busy. I'm going to get bored very quickly and easily.
i just need some cool ideas that i could do as an activity during some days

Answer
I used to be homeschooled and yeah it can get really boring if you dont have a lot of things to keep you busy. You could

-Get a job and earn some cash, since your homeschooled maybe you can work more hours for more cash
-Volunteer at a pet shelter
-Hiking, fishing, camping
-The beach (personally I like to go on colder days and just walk the shoreline)
-Gym or YMCA and get toned
-Join the local drama playhouse
-Run a dog walking buisseness with your sisters, if theyre old enough
-Make a really popular review blog, if its really good companies will send you stuff to review

Hope atleast one of these helps! :)

Essentials for taking baby to the beach?

edm627

My son is 3 months old, will be 4 months by the time we take him to the beach, What are the essentials that we need (besides sunblock :)? A tent? A baby pool? Insect netting??

Answer
I would bring the following in this order:

Baby sunblock- you can now buy organic baby sunblock, but I don't know if you can use it on a 4 month old. As your pediatrician. Otherwise, dress him in light white cotton onzie and keep him in the shade - you could make sure your unbrella is a "sun unbrella" and treated to prevent UV rays etc. . .

A bottle of fresh water and a clean dry washcloth in a zip lock baggie. This will be important if he gets any sand in his eyes accidentally and you need to rinse his eye out. Mine were grabbing at everything including the sand at that age.

Enough food/water/bottles

Diapers/wet wipes- they sell disposable swim diapers that might be nice too- if you plan on going in the water with him, although he probably can just wear nothing in the swim trunks.

A plastic garbage bag for dirty diapers.

A hat to shade from the sun (if he'll keep it on)- babies have sensitive eyes- especially if they are blue still.

A sheet/ or "neat sheet" to lay on.

A sun unbrella or tent for the family- I suggest you dig a little cove/hole for him to lay in and cover it with a towel. You could even wet it a little. I found that to be very cool and comfy for mine when we took our boys at that age.

Maybe a spritzer bottle with a fan if he likes it and it's going to be hot.

If you are going to the beach and it's not in the mangroves or everglades etc. . . I do'nt think you'll need insect netting- I guess it depends on the beach.

Baby powder- this really helps to get the dry sand off the skin easily I've found.

Towels

A Camera (in a protected plastic bag)- to record those precious moments- if you aren't going to leave your bag on the beach

Extras: a little bucket to put some water or toys in for him to splash in.

The baby pool is a bit awkward and he'll be a bit young for it I think. . .but maybe a little blow up duckie bathtub would be nice- I like those because they are softer and easier to store.

I was wondering if it is ok to take a 12 week old baby to the beach?

mikowensmo

My son will be 12 weeks old and i have the opportunity to take my children, one of which is 12 weeks old to the beach. We will be there for one week, private beach, air conditioned condo. I have a UV tent and a few umbrellas. I am worried about the heat and the sand. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Answer
of course or there will not be any people staying at coastal houses and fishing villages.

Just be wary of too much sun and be careful of hygenie & cleaniness.

what do i need when taking my just-turned 3 year old to the beach?

Sarah

i was wondering what i'll need to take my little girl to the beach?

Answer
sure its fine! i took my 12 month old daughter last month, your daughter will love it!

essentials:
*50+ spf suncream (also try to get the sand + water resistant suncream)
*a nice cap/hat
*you need shade, so bring a beach tent or bring a beach umbrella
*water or juice or w.e to keep her hydrated
*also bring a towel or mat to sit on, your child may not like the sand and sometimes the sand is really hot and burns my feet so bring some sandals for her aswell

extras:
*swimming costume and armbands for swimming in the sea
*small beach ball, bucket and spade etc something to keep her occupied
*when i went i also brought a cooler as i wanted her drinks and lunch to be nice and cold and fresh, i recommend you bring one
*and don't forget to buy her a ice cream =D i brought my daughter one at the beach and more went on her face than in her tummy!

NOTE: keep a eye on her at ALL times, if your sunbathing and closing your eyes you need another person watching her, beaches is one of the most popular places where children go missing and get taken, you can't trust many people now days

Ever taken a newborn to the beach?

Juka

I am going to Florida Sunday. I will be there 3 nights and 4 days. I have a 2 1/2 month old as well as other children. I bought a beach tent with spf 50 and earth's best organic all natural chemical free sunscreen for him. Has anyone done this? What was your experience?
I understand people saying "too hot" or "sandy."

So I'm wondering, people who live near the beach, do they move inland when they have newborn's?

It's hot where I live... just as hot as Florida, I live in Georgia.
note: baby is healthy.... and i won't be on beach b/w hours of 11am and 4pm

Answer
JUST TAKE AN UMBRELLA AND HAT, AND LIKE YOU SAID... MAKE SURE BABY IS NOT TOO HOT. YOU MIGHT WANT TO AVOID PUTTING SUNBLOCK ON BABY THOUGH...EVEN IF IT'S ORGANIC, IT MAY BE TOO HARSH FOR NEW SKIN. I'VE DONE IT, NO PROBLEM. YOU ARE RIGHT...JUST THINK OF ALL THE PEOPLE WHO HAVE BABIES IN DESSERT AREAS, THEY DON'T MOVE TO THE TROPICS JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A BABY! JUST BE CAREFUL, AS IT SOUNDS YOU ARE.

Mykonos: Paradise Beach Resort?

AleZ

Has anyone ever been at the Paradise Beach Resort in Mykonos? I've seen the price list, and I've noticed that the cheapest choise is the tent. But I don't know if they are already furnished (with table, cooker, mattresses etc) or they are empty. Anyway I'll try to telephone but I also asked here my question, because I'd like to know also some opinions by someone who went there for vacations. The camping is the following: http://www.paradise-greece.com/

If someone has any advice for another cheaper place, I will be pleased to know it :)

Answer
Tents on paradise beach accommodate 3 people. beds, linens, house keeping and electricity are included.bathroom facilities are also on the grounds. this is really a tent so no cooker, mini market, self serve restaurant, and snack bar ar all right there and really cheap for pretty good food. And of course, paradise beach is one of the best party beaches in the world with many cafes and bars, so you can also eat and drink right from your sun lounger. (the lounge chair rental on the beach cost as much as the tents though)
Every young person in the world has the same Idea, so it sells out very fast, especially in the summer months dont wait!
Paranga beach also has camp grounds with sort of the same prices

Beach Wedding Cost...?

BadKitty87

I'm getting married at a Florida beach in the late summer, with around 100 guests. I'm just curious, how much would the average cost be for the wedding? I'm looking for it to be a casual wedding, but quite nice at the same time.

Answer
There's no such thing as an average cost. It all depends on how simple or how elaborate you want your beach wedding to be.
Are there costs to rent the beach you want to have your wedding at? Site rental, parking, etc.
Are you going to need to rent chairs for your guests? A sound system so they can hear the vows? A tent?
Will you be having a reception?
etc etc etc

Beach Tents?! I need help please!?

Confused

I am not sure how to set up tents. I am wondering is there any place online where I can read about beach tents?
I looked up on Walmart website, but I could not find any closed beach tents.
My family and I are planning to stay till sunset and we want a closed beach tent.
Is it possible to get one?
Can anyone please give useful websites?

Thanks a ton before hand!

Answer
i have camped for years on beach with normal tents.........u just substitute the pegs with longer ones...or even wrap tie-down ropes around a rock and bury it about 2 ft down......

** just make sure u know where the tide line is........no tent is that"waterproof" :)

Something to do with the family.. help?

~*I love m

Okay so my family and I have a pretty busy life, but now since it is summer and the kids do not have school only summer activities all they do is sit around anymore. I want to do something fun that we all can enjoy I just want some ideas I will give you the age of my kids so you can help.

Boy- 17
Girl- 13
Girl-11
Girl-9
Boy- 6

I know there ages are varied so I want something to keep them all happy. Thanks.

By the way teenagers will not do the whole family picnic thing they think it is so "not cool mom". Ha ha

Answer
Bring them to the ocean, all ages can enjoy a trip to the beach. Get a huge neighborhood or family game of kickball, soccer, or badminton going in the yard with the older kids helping the younger ones. Do they have bikes? My family likes to go for a family bike ride. We like to ride on the recreational trails from our home to town, have lunch at Subway, then ride back home, but that can be improvised to whatever is near you. We encourage the kids to keep going as long as they can, but if they need to they can take breaks and we carry plenty of water for the trip. There are some family games that can be fun for all ages. I like Cranium, Apples to Apples, Scattergories and Uno. On a hot day, turn on a sprinkler or have the kids toss water balloons. They might find a family BBQ a bit cooler than a family picnic. Let the kids camp outside in tents overnight and roast marshmallows in a firepit and run around the yard with sprinklers after dark. Turn on the kids favorite radio station or pop in a favorite cd and have everyone start dancing, including you, no matter how goofy you look or feel, or rent a video on hip-hop dancing and challenge everyone to try to keep up with you. Have everyone pick out some old clothes, toys, books, etc. and have a big family yardsale where everyone gets to keep the money for their own things. It's a great way to get rid of clothing and toys the kids have outgrown and they will be more willing to part with their things if they can keep the money from their things. The younger kids will enjoy operating a lemonade stand which their customers won't be able to resist on a hot day. If you don't have a convenient location for a yardsale, you can have them donate their items to a salvation army or thrift store which is a good way to teach the kids about the value of giving and helping others. Have the kids help you plant a garden and have each family member responsible for weeding and watering a row. When you have dug or tilled a big enough plot, the kids can help pull out the rocks and roots. Everyone can help harvest their own row and if there is enough, you can donate what you don't need to a local food bank and the kids will be proud to be able to help members of the community who are needy. Have everyone in the family think of five or six activities that they would like to do with the family and write them down on a piece of paper which they can fold up and put in a jar. Pick one day a week that each person in the family can take turns pulling a paper from the jar. The family will do that activity for the day and everyone in the family has their turns to do the things they enjoy. You can lay down some ground rules such as a spending limit for the day or a limit on how far you are willing to travel. You also might want to have them each choose one activity for rainy days or indoors and keep those in a separate jar just in case. Even if some of the kids occasionally moan and groan about how corny or uncool the activities are, you should keep encouraging them to join in and participate even if it's to set an example for the younger ones and be a part of the family. Chances are, if they see that everyone else is having fun, they will eventually give in and give it a shot and when they look back on those times when they are older, they will remember how silly and fun it was and they will be grateful for the time they were able to spend with the family learning that sometimes it's ok to be uncool and silly, sometimes it's actually fun. Good luck! I hope you will be able to use some of these ideas. Sorry for the looooong post.

Baby beach tents: Has anyone used one before and do you think it's a good investment?

Double the

Since summer time is coming around and my second child is due in June I was thinking of getting a baby beach tent or some other UV tent for the family when going to the beach. My husband thinks it's ridiculous to buy one but my son and I burn easily (and so does my husband even though he doesn't like to admit it).

Have you used a baby beach tent and do you think it's a good investment? Why or why not?

Answer
I got a really good one from onestepahead.com. It springs up on it's own and the front and back open wide so that it stays well ventilated and doesn't get so hot (you can close them too for napping kids or nursing). It's fairly roomy too. The whole thing folds down and packs into a little bag that is much easier to carry than an umbrella. I think it's a good investment, I use mine at the beach all the time. The kids get changed in it too so we can avoid the restrooms.

What are some good and quiet beach camping spots in Southern Cali?

Shane B

Tent camping in a quiet area...

Answer
There are a lot of good camp grounds between Solona Beach and Encinitas. My favorite is South Carlsbad State Beach just north of San Diego. During the winter season it's not crowded, it's above the waves and easy to get in and out of. Another one right near it is San Elijo State Beach. That way if you don't have reservations, there is another campground near by you could also try.

Will award points. Going camping...need ideas for staying clean and good smelling.?

Im going away for a few days and for about 4 day im going to be roughing it. ill be horse back rideing and hiking and camping outdoors with no shower or bathroom. what are some ideas that will help me stay clean and good smelling. i already bought dry shampoo for my hair and deoderant. but i cant use body spray because of misquetoes and bugs. i need some ideas like baby whips for a sponge bath etc. i also need ideas on how to keep my face clean and clear. i use proactive but i cant use that with out water. so i need ideas for acne or face washes that can be used in the woods. and also something to put my garbage in when im done. any ideas will be helpful. thank you
PS. will award points.

Answer
I can;t imagine there will be NO source of water. Most camping areas have at least a pump and if you are horseback riding there has to be some kind of water available at that facility. Bring a plastic gallon jug of water from home that you can refill from a tap as you need it. Also bring from home (or buy if you have to) a large lightwieght plastic bowl, like the ones they sell for putting chips in at picnics (places like Walmart, Kmart, Target should have them in the outdoor furniture or kitchen departments.) Also a plastic gallon sized ice cream tub would work if you have one of these. This is your outdoor "sink". Also buy a box of the gallon sized zip-lock baggies -- these are for your trash and also to carry your cleaning supplies. Bring several washcloths and a large lightweight towel -- a cheapo beach towel is ideal. The thinner the better since it will dry faster. Bring a small bottle of liquid soap -- actually a travel sized baby shampoo works fine.

When you want to wash, find a tree or bush to hang your towel up for a screen, or do this on your knees inside the tent. Strip down (naked or to your underwear if you are feeling nervous). Fill the plastic bowl with water from the jug, wet a washcloth and put a couple of drops of the soap or baby shampoo on it, suds up the cloth and wash yourself all over, occasionally rinsing the washcloth in the bowl of water. Don't use lots of soap -- you need very little, it is the water that is dissolving the dirt and stink. When you are done, wrap up in the towel and dry off. Using baby powder (the unscented cornstarch type) afterwards will help you feel fresh. When you are all done, hang the towel and washcloth in the sun on a tent or bush.

A great item you can buy from camping stores is a Sunshower -- a black plastic sack with a shower nozzle attached. YOu fill it with a gallon or two of water, leave it in the sun and it heats up to 100 degrees F, as warm as a normal shower. Then you can hold it or hang it in a tree, release the nozzle clip and have a warm shower all over. I love mine.

Baby wipes or feminine hygeine wipes are good for daily small cleaning up. The alcohol type facial wipes are better for the face and hands because they are not oily.

I've lived for as much as two weeks camping or at archeology or geology field camps and kept clean this way.

Where are some great campgrounds in Michigan?

Adam

My friends and I just finished our first year of college and I want to get everyone together and go camping for a long weekend sometime this summer. I am looking for a place with a pond or lake or some kind of water to swim in and possibly even canoe some place close by. It would be great if it was more secluded so we wouldn't be disturbing anyone if we are loud but that is not a necessity. Thanks for your help!

Answer
I'm going to have to suggest Rifle River Recreation Area campground. My family has a cottage in Rose city, about six miles from there, so I've been going to the park my entire life. It's a fantastic place. It is in Lupton about three to four hours north of Detroit. The park is beautiful and has plenty of beaches and water access as well as a few look outs around the park. Just so you know I'd suggest Devoe beach for swimming, its very clean (the cleanest in the park), less populated and you have a large designated area to swim in and it is hardly every extremely busy (especially if you go during dinner time). This is where we always swim.
They have all kinds of camping from campers to tents to rustic cabins that you can rent. The cabins are a lot of fun and make it easier than lugging around a tent. There is a good chance that you can be as loud as you want as the park is not often overly packed, if you have a problem being quiet at your campsite there are plenty of pick nick tables and look out area's with campfires to go hang out at around the park where nobody would here you.
PLUS literally right across from the park entrance is a canoe, kayak and tube renting area (as well as a small convenience store). You can go there to rent a canoe and than they will bring it directly into the park for you and drop it off at Davoe beach, you just meet them at the docking station. I've done it plenty of times and it is beautiful and lots of fun!! Davoe is huge so there's plenty of area to canoe, as well as smaller creeks to go down, and an island in the middle of the lake that you might want to stop and have lunch at. One of the best parts is paddling back in to the beach area and just jumping directly into the lake from your canoe!

In the park there's the "fireman's" look out which is a wooden tower that looks out over all the lakes as well as the "baby mac" which is a small swinging bridge over one of the bigger rivers. The park is huge so there's plenty of little places to visit and lots of hiking.
I'm assuming you're going to have easy use of a car, you can get a campground close to Davoe that is with in walking distance (we still drive usually lol there's plenty of parking and after a day at the beach we never really want to walk back) but the park is very large so I suggest taking the car to explore.
Also the Rifle River is pretty close so if you'd prefer to tube instead of canoe its very fun, you can rent a tube and they drop you off on the river and pick you up.
I know its not in way southern Michigan but you don't have to worry about it not being rural. There isn't much but forest in this area. However, six miles away is Rose City, a small town with a grocery store and some fast food places (including a DQ) and about twenty minutes away is West Branch if you want to go into a bigger town for bowling or for a Walmart.
Its a super nice place! I go there at least four times a year. If you have any questions or anything I might be able to help you with feel free to message me!

beach naps with toddler?

Sexy Ma

when you go to the beach with your toddler...do you bring a pop up tent for them to sleep in or just put them under a beach umbrella on a towel? I am trying to find the easiet way for my 2 yr old son as i go to the beach often with him alone

Answer
We use an SPF-50 pop-up tent and it is a life-saver. It folds down compactly and fits in our beach bag but is still big enough for our 2 children and one adult to fit in. If it is nap-time, I lay a towel or blanket in the tent and zip the mesh door shut. Sometimes I lay a towel or blanket over top of the tent for added darkness and privacy. I think my kids sleep better if they don't have as much stimulation. What child would want to nap when they can see other kids running around having fun?! :)
Oh, and I also agree with investing in a pull-behind carry-all. They are so helpful, especially when you take the child(ren) by yourself.

Taking our 2 month old to the beach and need advise?

* <3 Fianc

This friday we're bringing our 2 month old to atlantic city, any tips or recommendations on how to help him to not get burnt? We have a beach tent we're setting up, having a hat on at all times... What else? How old was ur little one when u first brought them to the beach?

Answer
My middle child was 6mos when she first went to the beach, and I think that was the youngest any of my kids were when they went.

Doctors don't recommend much sunblock for babies under 6mos, but they DO recommend using it if the baby has to be in the sun. You might want to get a sunblock stick for his face and hands, and then I would try finding a lightweight pair of pants and long-sleeved shirt or hooded coverup that will provide him some coverage. Sites like One Step Ahead sell beachwear that has SPF built in.

Definitely use a hat, and it may also be a good idea to buy or rent a beach umbrella. It can be positioned near the tent to keep any extra sun out, and can help if you keep him out of the tent for some of the time.

do people in Australia have to be careful of spiders?

Q. I would love to go to Australia but I am afraid of spiders. Do people in Australia have to shake out there clothes, bedsheets, shoes, ect. before getting into them? Do they have to survey there couches before sitting on them? I just want to make sure that if I go there, I don't have to walk on pins and needles. If I went to the beach, would I need to wear sandals the whole time? Also what is the best city for having the least amount of spiders? I would love to live in perth. Any answers, hopefully in detail, would be very appreciated. Thank you to whomever answers this question.

Answer
I've lived in Sydney for 8 years and never seen a Sydney funnel-web spider. I've seen a few redbacks, which is a small spider in the black widow family, but you'd have to be pretty unlucky to get bitten. They prefer wood piles outside, somewhere sheltered. These are the only two potentially deadly spiders but I'd be more worried about getting hit by lightning or dying in a car accident.

Since you can't bring tent or umbrella, you should prepare an extra effective sunblock to avoid sunburns. Sunglasses and also at least a mat for you to lie down against the sands.

volunteer work for 13 year old???

Q. with sea animals or fish
i live on long island
Atlantis marine world maybe but i think i have to be 18
volunteer work any where i live ?? with and sea life

Answer
I'm not sure how many places a 13 yr old can volunteer at. :-(
Talk to your career counselor at school, they might be able to give you advise an places to volunteer.

I know you want to work at Sea World, so you might want to look into a marine-related camp.

Other things you might want to see about are: beach clean ups, volunteering at an animal shelter, or some of the other things suggested below.

Sorry about the age restrictions. :-(
You'll get older. :-p

Glad to help again. Good Luck.

Zoological Park Careers
Tips for Starting Your Zoological Career
VOLUNTEER
....Call your nearest zoo or aquatic park and ask for details on becoming a volunteer (also called a docent or intern). Humane societies, animal rehabilitation clinics, and some veterinary clinics also welcome volunteers. Although your duties with a humane society or veterinary clinic will most likely involve working indirectly with animals (cleaning cages and preparing food), volunteer duties at a zoo or aquatic park range from filing or answering phones to being trained to make educational presentations or feed newly hatched birds.....

San Diego Zoo
So you want to be a keeper? (Keeper FAQs)
What are some other ways to gain animal experience?

Some places to look for volunteer jobs or internships might be:
⢠Veterinary offices
⢠Animal training classes (does your dog need obedience training?)
⢠Local Humane Society
⢠Local Park Service
⢠Wildlife rehabilitation centers (like for wolves, bears, big cats, birds of prey, and even bats)
⢠Animal shelters
⢠Farms (for domestic animals, or even ostrich, llama, or butterfly farms)
⢠Pet breeders (those that breed specific kinds of dogs, cats, or horses)
⢠Horse stables and boarding facilities
⢠4-H Clubs

Saint Louis Zoo
So You Want to be a Zookeeper?
If You're in Secondary School

* Begin preparing for a zoo career by reading about animals, observing them, and associating with "animal" people. (And be sure to check out the suggestions we've listed above for elementary school students -- they could apply to you too.)
* Tell your middle school or high school guidance counselors if you're interested in pursuing an animal-related career. They'll help you choose the right classes to help prepare you for further education in college.
* If you're old enough to get a part-time job, consider working or volunteering at a pet shop, veterinary hospital, animal shelter, livestock farm, horse stable, pet breeder or even a zoo, if possible. This kind of work can help you gain valuable experience that could be helpful in a zoo career. For more information on the Saint Louis Zoo's volunteer opportunities for people 15 years and older, click on Volunteer.
* If you live in the St. Louis area, consider enrolling in our Keeper for a Day program, for students in Grades 2 through 8. Working alongside a keeper in our Children's Zoo, you'll go behind the scenes to help care for some of our zoo animals, and learn what it takes to be a zookeeper.
* When you're considering which colleges or universities to attend, find those that specialize in programs of particular value to professional zoo work. These include general biology, zoology, (including specialty subjects like mammalogy, herpetology, etc.), wildlife and forestry, animal husbandry, ecology, veterinary medicine and ethology (animal behavior).

where can a 15 year old volunteer at that loves animals or even at a hospital? any ideas?

sandluver2

The kind of volunteer work I'm looking for is one that works with animals, like a shelter of some kind in seal or long beach or even working at a hospital.

Answer
You can work at any of those places - animal shelters, sea life centres or your local hospital. Just write to them/ring up/ or even visit explaining that you would like some experience. You need to be proactive, and most likely they'll appreciate your help and be encouraged by your enthusiasm. Plus it will look great on your cv in the future. So go for it!

Crossing on the Gamecube. The "K.K. Song" is actually music from
Mario Paint.

Keep animals in their homes
Go to the gate then ask Copper to open them for DS to DS visitors.
After the gates are open, all animals in your town can be found in
their homes, making deliveries and looking inside their houses
easier .

Keep turnips longer *Animal Crossing: Wild World*
To keep turnips longer then a week, put them on top of a table
inside your house. They will stay fresh until you find a good price
to sell them.

*** You must surround the part of the table with items before you drop the turnips so that the turnips do not go on the floor. It is best to put 100 turnips on each spot so that you can get more on the table.

Legend Of Zelda series references
Go to a neighbor's house that has the Kiddie set of furniture. This is the set with the floor that looks like puzzle pieces. Find the long dresser that takes up two squares. Press A or tap yourself while facing it to open the drawer. A message box will pop up, reading "You found 10 rupees! Lucky! Too bad you can't use them in this town."

In the back of Katrina's tent is a trident.

Lyle: Selling Accident Insurance
Lyle will be outside your door every Saturday, offering insurance until you buy it. After that, if you ever trip, fall in a hole, or get stung by a bee, the next day he will have sent you 100 Bells for each accident.

Making someone mad -Animal Crossing: Wild World
To make someone in your town mad at you, walk into them for a long period of time and push them around. If done correctly, they will become mad and steam will shoot out of the top of their head. They will not remain mad for too long.

To make a neighbor mad, hit the, with a net. This will take some time, but if done correctly steam will shoot out of their head.

Mario Bros. reference *Animal Crossing: Wild World*
In Pierce's (the buff blue eagle) room, open the refrigerator. The
text "What are Luigi's clothes doing in here?" will appear.

Mario references -[Animal Crossing: Wild World ]
Get a Pinball Machine. Zoom in and place it so that it is facing away from you while you are facing down. Look carefully at the designs. You can see Mario on the bottom part and the Mushroom Kingdom on the top part.

In the clothes shop, sometimes they will sell a Luigi hat. It will be called "Lil Bro's Hat".

The Arcade Machine (Furniture) has a picture of the Mario brothers on it, fighting.

Money $$$ Money (Animal Crossing: Wild World)
Keep hitting rocks with an ax or shovel until finding a special one that gives a bag of Bells. Keep hitting it until the bags stop appearing. Note: This only happens once per day.
A good way to get started in the game is to purchase a fishing rod or bug net. Set out to catch fish. If it is rare or at least worth 1,000 bells, keep it. If not, throw it back. You can also collect seashells of the same value. If catching bugs, catch them by listening to their sounds or watch for their colors. You can also look for treasure or many other things to collect money.

At 12:30 on any day, walk along the beach shore and look for fruit.
Any fruit you find along the shore is worth 500 Bells.

Dig up fossils in your town. Have Blathers check them, then sell them to Nook. Most are worth up to 2,000 Bells.
Get the Golden Shovel and use it to bury money. It may grow into a tree that will grow Bells, depending on how much money was buried.
Go to the bank and access your account. Save all the money you have into the account. Save the game and turn off the DS. Change the date to ten years later and your money will go up, depending on how much is in there. It usually goes up 99,999 Bells.

Take your Golden Shovel and dig in random spots. Eventually you will dig up 100 Bells.

Find a star on the ground. Dig it up with your shovel and sell it to Tom Nook. If it is a fossil, talk to the museum owl. Make sure you do not donate it, even when he asks if he can keep it. Sell it to Tom Nook for a few thousand Bells.

Change the system date to January 1st to get mail from your Mom with 10,000 Bells.
Insert any amount of money into your savings account, as long as it is about 50,000 Bells. Save the game and turn off the Nintendo DS.
Go to the DS settings and change the date to the year 2099. When you resume the game, you will have a letter stating that you have received 99,999 bells. This has automatically been added into your account. Note: You will receive many weeds. Note: It is better if you change the DS date to the year 2000, play the game, save, then
change it to the year 2099. You will get best advantages by doing this. If this did not work, it may be because of several reasons.
For example, you may not have earned interest in your savings.

To get more money for fruit, go to your friend's town. Instead of
only 100 Bells you will get 500 Bells.

When Joan the turnip peddler comes to your town (every Sunday morning), ask her if she has Red Turnips. If she sells them to you, plant them immediately. Water them every day for a week, and dig them up on Saturday. They will sell at Nook's shop for 16,000 Bells.

Buy a Fishing Rod and fish at the ocean around night time when it snows or rains. When you see a giant fish shadow, it will be a living fossil fish, worth 15,000 Bells.

Every day, go to the beach and look for shells. Do not bother picking up the Sand Dollars, Dall Tops, Venus Combs, or anything else worth less then 500 Bells. Just pick up the shells called "White Scallop" and "Pearl Oyster". They are the rarest kind. Also when you check, you might find a Coconut at the beach shore, or a Otter (sailor), and he might give you some random furniture.

Go to an online friend's town. Pick their fruit and plant it in your town. You can make more money from the fruit when it grows.

Go to a friend's town and pick their fruit and grow it in your town. Dig out a weed and plant it there, or chop down a tree and it will grow 50 to 100%. If you plant it when it is crowded, it will only grow to be a short (tiny) tree. You can sell the fruit to Tom Nook for 500 Bells each.

Whenever you get a fruit you do not have in your town, plant it.
After you have planted it, water it. This even works on coconuts that you find on the beach, but they need to be watered more.

Plant a fruit from another town in your town (not your native fruit). Keep planting them until you have an orchard (fifty or more trees). You should have your pockets empty when you go to collect
them (to maximize efficiency). After your pockets are full, sell
then to Tom Nook for 500 Bells each. You can get 7,500 Bells for
each pocketful of fruit.

Shake trees until a hive of bees appear. Now, take out your net and
catch them. Each bee is worth 4,500 Bells.

Take out your shovel and hit rocks with it until it spits out Bells.
Keep hitting it. It can go up to 20,000 Bells. If you want to get
all the bells, dig three holes away from the rock, and hit it. This
will push you back but you will still hit the rock because the holes
are there.

Eventually you will find a coconut. Your mom may also mail you and
include fruit with the letter. Bury them. After five to seven days,
they will become trees. Shake them, and you will get more of that
fruit. Sell them to Tom Nook, for 500 Bells.

To get coconut trees, find a coconut on the beach then plant it
within ten shovel spaces from the ocean. Keep planting the fruit you
get from the trees. Soon will have a friendly tropical beach. You
can also sell the coconuts for 500 Bells.
Get a fruit that is not native to your town. Plant it and go ahead
in time Bury those fruits you find and go ahead in time again.
Repeat this, then eventually sell all the fruit.

Money Tree (Animal Crossing: Wild World)
First get a golden shovel by buring a shovel in the ground and fast forwarding a day then bury 100 bells in the ground with your shovel.Water for 5 days then becomes a money tree!!!

Mr. Resetti: Home

Stop animals from moving
Talk to animals when they are in their house, and their things are
in boxes. Keep chatting until they say something like, "I'll have to
think this over..." or "Maybe I should stay..." This works well with
Mabel (the bear) or Ribbot (the robotic frog).

When a neighbor is moving (there are boxes in his house), start
talking and choose "Don't go" or "That can't be" until he starts
saying "Maybe I'll reconsider" or something similar.

The Money Rock
Hit every rock you find around town with either a shovel or an axe until one of them drops bells. Every day, the rocks will recharge.

The Money Tree
Bury some money with the Golden Shovel to grow a Money Tree.
The higher amount of Bells you bury at one time, the higher the chances the tree will grow.

[Glitch] Unmarked package
If Action Replay codes for the game too much, Nintendo will send you an unmarked package. This is extremely annoying because afterwards Tom Nook will not trade with you until you deliver it. However, you cannot deliver it. You must start your town over or use Action Replay to sell your hacked Royal Crowns to the Able Sisters or on Wi-Fi.

My niece is turning 14 and needs help for party ideas. Got any?

Party

She would like to have about 30 girls included

Answer
1-Have a Hawaiian Luau. Leis and grass skirts.

2-Have a masquerade party. Have all the kids dress up like a nursery rhyme character or their favorite super hero.

3-Clue anyone? Make it a mystery party. Send out invitations inviting all detectives to the scene of the crime (they should wear their detective clothes and bring magnifying glasses. Announce at the beginning of the party things that have disappeared, then leave clues around, and watch the little detectives solve the mystery. You get the idea. Use your imagination.

4-A toga party.

5-A beach attire party. If its summer, outside is perfect, little wading pools or slip-n-slides, bathing suits, beach balls, umbrellas, sand and shovels, sun glasses make a great party favor (be sure to bring sun block). If it's winter, you can still have a beach party. Place beach towels on the floor, sun lamps, beach party music, hot dogs, and beach attire. Use your imagination!

6-Tea party.

7-Puppet show.

8-Skating party on the patio, perhaps put cones out. (don't forget safety gear!)

9-Slumber party. (all girls or all boys)

10-Dance party. Strobe light or ball, music, food and fun! Contest, prizes, fun songs like the hokey pokey.

11-Make over party. This one's just for girls, they take turns getting a make over from one or two moms. Hair, makeup, play dresses, then they have to model for the rest.

12-Water balloon party. Summer party, water fights.

13-CD party. This is probably for the 8 to 14 year old age group. Announce in the invitations: only CD's for presents.

14-Pastry party. Tons of snacks! Eclairs, jelly donuts, glazed, chocolate, cinnamon rolls, lemon filled, pies, and cakes!

15-Dinner party.(for ages 10 to 16) A more sophisticated party. Dress up for dinner, napkins, silverware, fine china and crystal (red punch in wine glasses is always fun), salad, followed by a three to five course meal, served by a servant or butler, dressed the part, ending in a smashing dessert.

16-Bazarre party. Give out tickets, have games such as bean bag toss, pie toss(whipped or shaving cream on tin pie plates), watermelon or ice cream eating contest.

17-Ice cream party. Chocolate syrup, strawberry syrup, bananas, cherries, nuts, sprinkles, gummy bears, chocolate chips, cookies, many flavors of ice cream, hot fudge.

18-Tent party/camp out party. Ghost stories, flash lights, tons of snacks, sleeping bags, water jugs, maybe even a campfire, weiner or marshmellow roast

19-Special friend party. (ages 3 to 7 or 8) Indicate on the invitation each guest is to bring their special friend, a doll or stuffed animal perhaps. They can introduce their special friend.

20-Pet party. Self explanatory, just be sure to have it outside! And have plenty of dog food, water to go around and a couple of pooper scoopers!
