palm beach shelter dogs image

Ok so I live in palm beach so it's always hot so I can't have a long hairs dog and I need one to go jogging with me and my apartment complex has a 80 lb limit. Also I am going to adopt this dog from a shelter so obviously it's going to be a mixed breed but I want one of the mixes to be of this breed. Thanks!

Boxer dogs are a very nice breed. they are smart and loyal and bond well with their owners. they are my favorite breed of dog.
from a shelter (which i think is a great way to get a dog) you should look for a Boxer Pit Bull mix (they have multiple names for them. ex. BullBoxer Pit). i have one and she is super friendly. not a mean bone in her body. she has a lot of energy so they would love to run with you in the mornings. they stay between 40-70 lbs generally. there are some a bit bigger and a bit smaller though. and not to mention they are BEAUTIFUL dogs. they come in many color patterns too! for more info on them check the link below. it gives a little insight from other BullBoxer pit owners.

in the link my bullboxer looks like tango the last dog on there, except she is only 45lbs and a little but lighter tan color. but that is a really great picture to show how they mature with their body structure.
also i live in the south, and it gets in the the 90s to 100s of degrees and she is fine, just as long as she has a cool house to go in when she gets hot.
GOOD LUCK!! hope this helps!

has anyone heard the story of our local animal care using a cage crushing dogs to euthanize?
cherris_la
I would like to read more about this, in Palm Beach County rumers are flying about a shelter or our ACand Control using some type of a cage that crushes the animal to euthanize.... I cant find anyting on the web.... Please help!
Thanks!
Answer
Well if it's a rumor then don't listen to it because usually shelters are going to have a HUMANE way to euthinize there animals but if it's true I don't think it's very humane! If it is true that's just cruel!
I hope it's not true! = (
