How close is VIP seating to the stage? Can you get pics? Are chairs assigned or do you just get access to the VIP area? Is it weather protected? What was you experience like at the concert?

Answer
The VIP Club features access to "members-only" private areas of the Festival within 100â of the permanent main stage and more!

VIP Club patrons desiring a relaxed atmosphere for preferred viewing of the concerts can enjoy the improved sight lines from the VIP club. This exclusive partially tented elevated area includes tables, chairs, exclusive wash rooms, complimentary hors d'oeuvres (daily between 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm), beverage specials within the VIP Club, wait staff, food & beverage service, video monitors, special festival entrance, and preferred parking.

Back by Popular Demand, The VIP Pit!
â¢Exclusively for those VIP Club members who want to get right up front to rock with their favorite artist, there is an exclusive "standing area" with a "limited capacity", at the stage barricade! (Access and capacity up front in the VIP barricade is limited for your safety, so remember to share with your fellow club members.)

You can bring your bag chair into the VIP Club (tables and chairs are still provided)!

Entry into the VIP section requires a VIP Ticket and VIP Wristband for Parents, and a VIP Ticket and VIP Wristband for their Children 6-12 accompanying them.

The 3rd annual Cavendish Beach Music Festival combines the worldâs greatest musicians and talent performing live over 4 days in breath taking Cavendish Beach, thereby linking the viewers to their favorite artists in a landmark location that typically would be visited only in their âdreams.â The timelessness and beauty of the Maritimes, incredible concerts, impressive array of food, beverages, vendors and the stars above (as well as on our stages), will once again create memories destined to last a lifetime! Get in on the tradition! Come for the music, enjoy your family and friends, and donât miss the Beach!

"The Bolivar Peninsula may be where you want to go. There are over thirty miles of beach to camp on. You can drive on all of the beaches.

After the flashing light when you get off of the ferry(at Fisherman's Cove motel), go about a mile or so and you will find Rettilon Rd (nolitter backwards). Turn right. It takes you to the beach and a good area to camp.

One thing new is a County Beach Parking Permit. You can buy them at almost any store or real estate office on the Peninsula. It's only ten bucks. The sheriffs don't really enforce it unless you are creating trouble or they want to roust you. The permit is not needed for driving on the beach, just parking.

Campfires are allowed but not big bonfires. Don't camp in front of someone's beachhouse. It bugs them. Unless you really like to party, avoid the part of the beach in Crystal beach known as the "ZOO". Sheriffs work this area hard and there are a lot problems there. Remember, no glass containers and no beer after 2am."

Galveston Island State Park has tent camping, screened shelters, and RV-related camping.

Galveston Island State Park was damaged by Hurricane Ike. Beachside and Bayside camping are open. The Beachside Day Use Area is also open and has tables, grills, and rinse off showers. Restrooms and showers are available on the beach side and restrooms without showers are available on the bay side. Go to our fee page for specific facility & fee information.

06/14/2011 - The Park is under a burn ban. No wood fires are allowed. Charcoal & containerized fuel stoves (i.e. propane) are currently allowed for cooking. Contact the Park for more information.
