First, you did not say where you are from. That and what your interests are would help answerers find you ideas.
Camping is great if y'all are the outdoor type and already have camping equipment and you and your husband have experience in camping. We tried it once (also a family of 4), little experience , not the outdoor kind of people and it was disastrous! A storm came on the first night we were on a mountain area. We did not waterproof our tent correctly and it leaked at various places. We were soaked , tempers flew and a wild bird or something made a sound just outside our tent and scared us to death! Looking back it is kinda comical now. But not at that time. We vowed never to go camping again!
Beaches are great and depending on which coast you are closer to (assuming you are in the USA), it might be great fun because I know a lot of folks like beaches and it costs next to nothing if you can drive there or fly short distance. Some beaches, like Daytona in Florida, costs a little to get to the beach to park your car but it is well worth it if you go early in the morning and can get a good spot. You will be spending many hours there so it is worth it to pay.
Amusement Parks are fun for Kids, like Disneyland or Disneyworld or many others but your key word "affordable" makes me think it might be too much (?) If you go in the Summer, you will probably get thirsty a lot and you count the costs (even if you can get a package deal) calculate the spending money you will need. A bottle of just water costs around $2 or so. In Summer. How about lunch? dinner? Children so young would want to take home a toy souvenir.
If you are near some Science museums with hands -on activities, it might be great fun. Or Aquarium. It would not cost as much as those amusement parks with rides.Hope this helps.

Speedo Fans Only, Speedo Day?

You say "Speedo is giving them out for free but you have to be willing to wear it right now, just ask one of the guys wearing a white Speedo and they will get you a free Speedo" If it works I think we'd need to make sure all the Speedo wearers don't all hang out together, don't want to make it look like it was all a total plan, unless of course Speedo sponsors it.

Speedo, Aussie Bum, Koala com, Budgy Smuggler and Wettackle Australia etc all do these swimwear promotions here in Australia as they all are Australian swimwear company's.
All these Australian swimwear company's sponsor swim, dive, water polo, teams and surf lifesaving clubs. Making us wear and promote there swimwear. These company's do this at the beach each summer, giving you free swimwear if you put them on and wear them. I've have done and worked on quite a few of these swim wear promotions.

Most all Americans don't know Speedo is 100% Australian designed swimwear and the Speedo trademark is a boomerang. Or knows that all European and Brazilian swimwear is 100% Australian designed. Or we all wear our racer swimwear more briefer, than the designs sold in the USA.
In Australia most all us guys have all our lives only worn a swim brief or go nude to the beach. Also our surf lifesaving uniforms we wear on patrol aren't anything like they wear in the USA.

It would be interesting seeing the results of staging an event like this in the USA. As most all American men are to psychosexually feared about wearing a Speedo or similar label brief swimwear.
Due to bias Puritan mindedness, and mentally created homophobic fear made by morally twisted opinions. From Americans who have been mentally venomed by US religion to become psychosexually insecure of their own bodies and nudity.
To see how many average American men would be willing to take this promotional challenge. Swapping their neck to knee swimwear with a wearing a speedo. A promotion like this can be easily done only by contacting or emailing swimwear companies.
Telling them your ideas and if you and a few other guys are willing to publicly wear and promote their company's swimwear.
Men's swimwear distribution company's like global guys gear who deal with many different global men's swimwear company's could be very interested in having a swimwear promotion like this or any of the other swimwear company's I mentioned.

I think this is a brilliant idea, especially for us guys who occasionally visit your country. Being we don't wear neck to knee to the beach and don't like the bias two ton Tessy tents sitting on American beaches ewwwws and homophobic opinions towards men who wear a speedo.
