We are trying to protect some stray cats from the cold (sometimes it hits the 20s) usually around 30s and mostly mid 40s we live one hour from the beach in SC.

Answer
A lot of cats live in barns in areas a lot colder than yours. It's important for you to provide them with a sheltered area where they can be protected against the wind - like a dog house or something with a flap door so it will stray dry inside. A clear heavy plastic flap would be good that they can easily manipulate and see through to the outside. Put some bedding inside - perhaps one of those wooly dog beds that can be washed. Now I know I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but can you call your local ASPCA or Humane Society and ask them if they have a "neuter and release" program? That way you won't have to have a whole new crop of kittens in the Spring and you won't have to pay to get them neutered.

What are some beaches that you can LEGALLY live on in the UNITED STATES as a Beach Bum?

I surf and am sick of paying rent. Ive got a tent, my girlfriend (who's perfectly fine with it) and my surfboard. Now I need a beach

Answer
Key West in Florida. We went their on our honeymoon and they lived on the beach. You don't get run off and you can pitch a tent right there next to the water. There are also shelters right next door with shopping and dinner all night long, so if it rains or storms you can get somewhere safer then your tent. "Happy beach-bumming!"
