For parents that home-school their kids: What are the benefits from homeschooling vs public or private?

I'm strongly considering home-schooling my child. What benefits are there vs public or private schooling? Do you find that you have better control of your kids (discipline wise)? Do you find that your kids have better manners?

I really need some honest opinions. I went to public school myself and hated it. Please no mean comments.
*Also how early do you start homeschooling?

Swim~
Sports~
Building a Strong Character~
Effective Use Of Time~

& Probably THE BEST Benefit?

*Keeping My Kids AWAY From Despicable,
Negative, Moronic Students in The System.
The schools are filled with "GANGSTERS" !!
Most have NO Social Style!

Feedback:
Make certain you join a Home-Schooling
Network in your County. Every week we planned
Major Field-Trips. We went to Museums,
Musical Concerts, Plays, Movies, Toured
Manufacturing Facilities, Picnics, Nature
Reserves, Aquatic & Beach Excursions &
Toured major Universities & Colleges.
Keep your kid around OTHER Smart Kids
who are Homeschooled!

We went to Libraries & Hospitals.
Volunteered at The American Red Cross,
& many Service Organizations. Toured an
A.S.P.C.A. Animal Shelters. Etc.!

Almost ALL Home-Schoolers have much
more Emotional-Intelligence & are VERY Well
"Mannered" !!

When do you start?

The DAY your baby is born!
READ To Them!
Play Classical Music to them.
Sing & Dance with them!
Build Leggo Blocks with them.
There are reading Programs for babies now.
At about 6 months a baby can READ!
(Public Schools? They Graduate 17 year olds
who CAN'T Even READ a Sentence!)

what they will actually say? "Your Child will NOT

Schooled! This is FLAWED Thinking on their
Part! The OPPOSITE Is TRUE!

Almost ALL Home-Schoolers
are MUCH More Socially Sophisticated
then the Gangsters in Public/Private School!
The Network Provides a Powerful Tool
in the Developement of your kid!

I personally preferred the "secular" Networks!

Where should i go surfing that is near shelter island, San Diego?

I am going to be staying at Shelter island, San Diego and I would like to know where would be a good and close place to surf. Preferably with small to medium sized waves.

I would take a quick drive to Ocean beach, Mission Beach, or Pacific Beach, or anything north of there. Any of the beaches, instead of the harbor, which is where shelter Island is. The further north you go, the better the neighborhoods get. I would not go to OB or Mission beach at night; too many gangs. They are fun spots and very pretty, but go during the day, as there are too many party kids there. Locals call Pacific beach "PB" Ocean beach "OB" and Imperial beach "IB" etc. But don't go to imperial beach; too far and too close to mexico, so you get the sewer releases in their waters-- too close to home here in the US.
