beach gazebo tent image

We are planning on getting married and then coming back home to celebrate. We will invite everyone over to his parent's house. We thought getting married at the beach and then coming home about a week later for the reception would be less stressful for everyone. His parents have a beautiful backyard with a pool. We would like to have the reception bash there. Could someone give me links to a website that could help us with decorations and themes to a poolside reception? I would also love any ideas from someone who has done this before!!

My best friend had a backyard wedding. She rented tables & chairs and tent from the local rental shop. Taylor Rental, Grand rental station. The rental company put the tent up. She had a gazebo already. All the friends pitched in decorating. She had gotten fake flowers and stuff from AC moore & Michaels. She got the local deli and grocery to make the food. Borrowed chafing dishes from friends and got some from the rental places.
One hint ...dont tell the rental places that it is for a wedding. they sometimes raise the price. She also got one of those propane things that make the misquitoes go away. that way there were no bugs at the party. the key to the party is friends & family willing to pitch in. good Luck.

Where can I find mosquito netting suitable for an outdoor wedding?
Ari
I am getting married this upcoming April. I live in Florida and am having both the ceremony and reception outside, near but not on, the beach. There is an open air, brick reception area where we will be eating and such. There is a roof and all, it's actually a really substantial, brick structure. There are no walls, however. I wanted to use a mosquito netting, or similar fabric, to drape around the perimeter. I keep searching and all I can find is either those circular ones that you hang above a bed or whole outdoor-netted-gazebo-kit-tent-things. I just need panels of the material, like a large bed sheet, to drape around. I want it to be soft, breezy, transparent, and white. Does anyone know where I can find this?
Answer
Tulle and mosquito netting are basically the same thing. You can use something a little higher quality like an organza if you have a big budget.
Run a search online....you can get a couple hundred yards on a bolt in any color you want for very cheap. Any fabric store can also order it for you.
