Going to the beach next week with my husband and our 5 month old daughter... Seeking recommendations.?

BMD

I want to make sure I don't take too much; yet, I want to make sure I take everything we need. I am plannng to take:
* Baby float
* UVA Gear (Baby Glasses, hat, doo rag, and swim suit all from Baby Banz).
* Beach tent
* Beach "blankets"
* Beach towels provided at condo, as well chairs
* And then your basic things, such as clotehs, blah.. blah.. blah..video, camera, sunblock, baby clothes, chapstick, ???

but what I want to make sure is that I don't forget something major that is easily forgotten. Suggestions anyone?
FYI: We purchased one of those total body bathing suits for baby's made by Baby Banz, and it comes with a coordinating doo rag (absolutely the cutest thing I have ever seen in my life). So, it is total UVA. this way I don't have to put any sunblock on her. Now I will put a little on her hands, I have it all covered with the suit and the doo rag. She's just now 5 mos, and I'm afraid the sunblock will get in her eyes/mouth cuz she chews on her hands and rubs them in her eyes all the itme.

Best idea so far: THE BABY POWDER. I did NOT know that!!!!! Too awesome!

Answer
Umbrella you might be able to rent this......
.
Baby powder for sand... ( I live at the beach) If wet sand or any sand gets on skin,,, put baby powder on it and it wipes right off like magic. Even on wet skin with sand on it.
( especially under a wet diaper) A MUST have at the beach.

** they actually sell it here where I live at the boardwalk stores and package it as a sand cleanser product LOL** My kids always use baby powder on their feet and ankles before getting my car from the beach.

Does anyone know if sun shelters are allowed on Waikiki beaches?

Jessica

I assume the larger sun shelters are prohibited on Waikiki beaches as they strictly prohibit 'tents' to control the homeless. Does anyone know if a baby size cabana would get the boot? Or what is allowed? I'd appreciate answers from people who know rather than speculate. Thanks!
Since 'Smarter Than You' is such an idiot he didn't understand the question, I will clarify for future morons who might take a crack at this. There are small sun shelters for infants on the market, as well as other products that protect infants from the sun. I'm wondering which product would be the best for Waikiki beaches considering the prohibition on tents.

Answer
No. They strictly prohibit tents. Don't get all cutesy and call your tent a "baby sized cabana"
